About Our Practice
At Modern Medical, we are dedicated to providing high-quality family medicine to the St. Augustine community and the surrounding areas. Dr. James F. Connor opened our practice in 1991 in St. Augustine, Fl. With over 30 years of experience, we strive to help every patient achieve optimal health and wellbeing. Our team of medical professionals is committed to delivering compassionate and personalized care to each patient we serve. From routine checkups to chronic disease management, we are here to help you and your family stay healthy and happy. We have 3 providers in our office to offer flexible scheduling and meet our patients individual health needs. Walk-Ins are welcome but subject to availbilty. Annual Wellness
Preventive measures are crucial when it comes to maintaining your health. Our team of experienced professionals will perform a thorough physical exam, review your medical history and current medications, and discuss any concerns or questions you may have. Annual wellness exams are covered fully by most insurances once per calendar year.
Sick Visits
When you or a loved one is feeling under the weather, our Sick Visit service is here to provide quality care and support. We offer same or next day appointments, so you can get the care you need as soon as possible. Our experienced medical professionals will evaluate your symptoms and provide a personalized treatment plan to get you back on your feet.
Women's Care
We understand that women's health is unique and requires specialized care. That's why we offer a range of Women's Care services including pap smears, mammogram orders, and preventive medication.
Chronic Illness
Living with a chronic illness can be challenging, but our office is here to support you every step of the way. Our team of expert physicians provides personalized medication management and preventive screenings for conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and cardiac diseases. We're committed to delivering the highest quality care to help patients live their best lives.
Pre-Operative
Pre Op clearance is an important step towards a successful surgery! Our experienced team will work with your surgeon's requirements, providing orders for diagnostic imaging, lab work, and in house EKGs to ensure that you are prepared for your upcoming procedure. Other tests may be required by your surgeon or our physicians to make sure you are prepared for your upcoming surgery. Please bring any forms your surgeon gives you to your appointment.

Unfortunately, we do not offer in office lab work for Medicaid or Self-Pay patients. All lab work preformed must be ordered by one of our physicians, we cannot accept outside lab work orders. Certain test may not be available in office, please ask your physicians if certain orders are not offered in house.
